Casey Gibson

Casey L. Gibson, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2014, licensed to practice in Texas State Courts and the US. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
 
After graduating from St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia, Casey earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Boston University in 2009. Competing as a scholarship athlete for Boston’s NCAA Division I Track and Field team in the 400m hurdles, she contributed to four America East Conference wins and was named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll all competitive seasons.
 
Casey earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 2014 where she received the Ron Bass Scholarship, awarded to a student who demonstrates a strong commitment to civil liberties and making a difference in the lives’ of others, and the Dean’s Scholarship. Casey served as President of the Black Law Student Association and competed on the Blakely Advocacy Institute Mock Trial Team, where she was named Best Speaker at the Capital City Mock Trial Competition, Washington D.C. and Outstanding Advocate at the South Texas Mock Trial Competition, Houston, TX. Additionally, Casey earned Best Speaker honors in the Hippard Open Mock Trial Competition and was named to the Order of Barristers her graduating year.
 
Casey joined The Gibson Law Firm in Houston, Texas as a law clerk in 2013 and as an associate in 2014. Casey’s passionate advocacy for injured clients is fueled by a lifelong commitment to service. She has served underprivileged communities globally, including: Boston, Massachusetts as a City Links mentor to immigrant students; San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic as volunteer at the El Buen Pastor School and Clinic; Arusha, Tanzania as a sexual and reproductive health educator for Support for International Change; and Houston, Texas as a volunteer for St. Joseph’s House psycho-social rehabilitation center.
